Welcome to Year 4

Welcome to the Summer Term in Year 4!

The team is Mrs MacDonald in 4JM, and Miss Cheetham in 4SC.  They are supported by Mrs Brickhill, Mrs Aitken, Mrs Wallwork, Mrs Sherrington, Mrs Coker and Miss Defoe.

The theme for this term is ‘A Different World’  our inspirational text for this term is ‘Varmints’ by Helen Ward which tells the story of what can happen when we forget to look after our environment.  We’ll be using this story and our theme throughout the curriculum to explore various ideas and investigate our world on a local, national and international scale.

Please keep a close eye on this blog and our Twitter account (@GorseyY4). As ever, we will endeavour to keep you up-to-date with everything the children are learning, including visitors, educational visits and other special events, including this term’s WOW Starter!

Class Information.

This year we will visit the school library every Thursday morning – please remember to have your library book on this day. We will have PE every Tuesday and Friday but please ensure you have both your indoor and outdoor PE kit in school every day, as plans may change.
